Praia da Daniela is a beach located in the north of Island of Florianopolis. The official name of Praia da Daniela is Pontal do Jurere but according to some old inhabitants in the area it was named Daniela after the grand daughter of a local entrepreneur Joao Prudencio who owned some portions of the beach. The beach is approximately three kilometres long and is about 26 kilometres from the centre of City of Florianopolis.

Praia da Daniela is one of the most beautiful beaches of Florianopolis attributed to its calm and clear hot waters, fine sands, and exuberant nature making it an ideal beach for family vacations. One of the features of the beach is wide sand band that serves as an immense playground, a favourite with the children. Although Praia da Daniela has little infrastructure compared to other beaches of Florianopolis it is still replete with many summer houses which are leased by its owners at reasonable prices. There is a health resort too which is frequented by many locals. There are only few restaurants and pubs in the vicinity of Praia da Daniela but many supermarkets. Another unique feature of the beach is the declivity of its waters which goes down smoothly offering minimum risk to the children.

The beach is not only popular for its health resort but for its unmatched lodging facilities offering visitors a wide variety of accommodation options. To reach the beach by car follow SC-401 to the viaduct access to Jurere beach, follow SC-402 and then look for the signs of Praia da Daniela. It is well connected by public transportation and thus commute to the beach from the center city should not be a problem.
